Lush Grease Lightning Review + Update!

Grease LightningAs you an see from the title, this review will be about Lush Grease Lightning.  So this product is basically an acne treatment.  This is the third acne treatment I tried so far.  The other two were Clean & Clear Acne Spot Treatment (click here for review) and Clearasil Vanishing Acne Treatment Cream.  Out of these 3, Lush Grease Lightning is definitely the best acne treatment I've tried so far.  It really clears up my acne.  Like I had some forehead pimples, and around the next day, it's obvious that the pimple shrank.  This product is gel-like.  When you put it on, the gel will kind of dry on your skin.  Don't worry, it doesn't dry your skin though it just dries ON your skin.  Did that make any sense?  Lol.  I usually put this on the area where I have the acne.  I feel like this works better if you have a group of pimples, whiteheads, etc. rather than a single pimple, whitehead, etc.  I really liked the fact that it's made of natural ingredients.  About the packaging, well it's a pump, so you always get a specific amount of the gel.  Sometimes, the amount of gel that gets pumped out is too much.  Btw, Lush Grease Lightning has an expiration date, so I recommend to buy this only if you will use it often.  For me, the expiration date is around 2 years after the month/year I bought it.  Overall, I give this product a 4 out of 5 stars, since it's not a miracle worker but still works very well.  After I finish using this, I plan to buy the Neutrogena Oil- Free Acne Stress Control 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne treatment. :)

Thanks for reading, and I hope you find this review helpful!

Book Review + Discussion: Pretty Little Liars #14 Deadly

Pretty Little Liars Book 14 Deadly coverSo I read Deadly about a month ago, and I decided to do a book review on it!  If you don't know what the plot of Pretty Little Liars is about, here is a link to my review of the previous book,Crushed, in the series (click HERE).  Oh, also this review is like the review of Crushed, following the same format which is book review and then discussion.  The discussion contains spoilers, but don't worry!  I will tell you beforehand.  Anyways for Deadly, it's basically about how the liars had enough of A ruining their lives and decided to put an end to it.  It was such an amazing book; it's a must read.  The plot, I would say, is kind of different from the other books in the series.  Like how the story goes it's kinda different, but in a great way.  The pace was also faster in this book, since the liars were actually doing something more effective to put an end to A's game.  In my opinion, what made Deadly more interesting than the other books was how A took it to the next level.  This affects the liars a lot, but it just makes them fight harder.  Btw, in Deadly, it revealed who Alison's helper was.  If you're interested in knowing who Alison's helper was, read the spoilers below.  Overall, I will rate this book a 5/5 stars! With all the intense and suspenseful moments, I had such an enjoyable time reading it.

--------------------------------------------------DISCUSSION : SPOILER ALERT-----------------------------------------------
Answer to Who is Helper A? : A is Nick, alias Tripp, Phineas, Jackson, Olaf, and Derrick.
Okay so in the beginning, it tells us Alison escaping from the Poconos in her perspective, which makes it more interesting.  When the book revealed that Noel was alive, I was relieved.  Once the liars decided to explain A to the cops, I felt like why didn't they do that earlier?  When Agent Fuji said there would be secret agents protecting them at all times, I was really hoping that the liars were safe from A at last.  Also, when Agent Fuji said she will investigate about the "A situation", I was kind of positive that she will solve the mystery.  Turns out, Agent Fuji accused the liars of sending the A notes to themselves to get attention, which I thought was illogical.  I mean seriously why would you send A text to yourself JUST to get attention?  Like, really?  When Emily's mom didn't believe in Emily when Emily said she wasn't the one in the "Tabitha video", I was like why wouldn't you believe in your own daughter?  Idk, I don't get it.  When Emily's family shunned Emily, I felt so bad for Emily.  Besides the liars, she has no one else to rely on.  Furthermore, when Emily attempted suicide, I thought she might actually suicide, but thankfully, the other liars got there in time to stop her.  I love how strong the friendship between the liars are.  In addition, I didn't like the characters Isabelle and Hanna's dad in the book, since they treated Hanna like crap.  Kate, on the other hand, was decent in this book.  On Arraignment day, a part of me thought that they have no hope left, but a part of me wonders if somehow, they manage to get out of the situation.  When the liars got a voice mail from Alison that had the chanting and Hanna figured out where it was from (her dad's office), I was like wow Hanna has such good memory and observes really well.  I probably wouldn't remember.  The liars arrive at a house behind the office, greeted by Nick, otherwise known as Tripp, Phineas, Jackson, Olaf, Derrick.  Wow, I never thought of that.  Alison appears with a gun, and I wonder if she will really get her wish.  The room where both Alison and Nick led the liars had this poison air, and I was scared for a second that all of them might actually die, and Ali will win.  When Alison tried to get Emily on her side, Emily refused, responding with "I hate you."  Good job Emily, way to show Alison how you really think of her.  Once the book described that "All she [Emily] saw was darkness", I thought that she was actually dead.  But it was later revealed she wasn't, and the rest of the liars weren't dead.  At the end, Agent Fuji figured out it was Nick who was helper A, saving the liars in time.  Everything is perfect timing like always for all the Pretty Little Liars books.  In those intense moments, someone will always save them somehow.  Which I guess you can say it's a good thing, but it can be quite predictable.  Not that I'm complaining or anything.  When Nick was arrested, I kinda felt sorry for him because like Alison obviously did a lot more bad things than Nick, but Nick was the one who got caught instead of Ali.  In the last few pages, it was revealed that Ali escaped AGAIN.  Honestly, I wonder how there can be this girl who is so clever with her plans.  This girl is so meticulous with her plans, that even FBI agents can't figure it out.  I really don't know how the liars can defeat her, honestly idek.
-----------------------------------------------------------END OF SPOILER----------------------------------------------------------

Sorry if this post was a bit too long.  I didn't expect it to be that long.  Btw, for those of you who think that PLL series is too long, I kind of understand how you feel.  Some parts are getting predictable.  Since I'm such a big fan, I don't mind.  Anyways, thanks for reading this book review and discussion.  I hope this helped! =]  Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comment section below.  So yeah!

What I Got from #PLLbyAero Winter Collection 2014

If you are wondering about the title, yes it is twitter inspired.  I thought it will be shorter and kinda different from my other blog titles.  Anyways, this post will be about what I got from the Pretty Little Liars Collection at Aeropostale.  If you didn't know already, I am a HUGE Pretty Little Liars fan, so when I found out that there was going to be a clothing line, I was beyond excited.  The fashion on the show is simply amazing, and I always wanted some clothing items the characters wore on the show.  Basically, this clothing line has clothes inspired by the style of Aria, Hanna, Emily, and Spencer on the PLL TV show.  So I went to Aeropostale on January 7, the day it was released, since I was worried the size I wanted would be sold out quickly.  When I got there, I was surprised to see that there wasn't much selection, like there were only 13 pieces.  The Bethany Mota had so many selection; I thought PLL would be like that too.  Below is what I got from #PLLbyAero!

Hanna Lace Dress, $34 ; Liars Unite, Free
The dress was part of the Hanna category in the PLL collection.  I thought it was super pretty, and I always wanted a dress like this.  I'm planning to wear it for special events, and maybe casually too.  The "Liars Unite" shirt was free, since there was a promotion of if you buy anything from the PLL collection, you get that shirt for free.  And the card in the middle is just like advertising the collection.  I am planning to pair this dress with my white flats with a bow and small polka dots.

Overall, I think the Pretty Little Liars collection is amAzing!  (Haha, see what I did there?)  The quality is awesome, and the clothes designed for each character is great.  The price might be a bit expensive for the other items, but other than that, I think it's worth the buy.  If you are a big fan of Pretty Little Liars or not, make sure to check this collection out!  So yeah, that was my what I got from the Pretty Little Liars collection at Aeropostale!  Thanks for reading! :)

Haul: Holiday Beauty Products & More

I know this post is like kind of overdue.  I mean it's not really the holidays anymore.  Eh, whatever, I'm still going to show you some things that I got during the holidays.

  • From Bath & Body Works, I got Pink Chiffon hand cream, White Citrus hand cream, Cranberry Twinkle whipped shimmer body cream, and Carried Away Body Butter.  For the Cranberry Twinkle whipped shimmer body cream, I plan to use it during the summer because I think it's kind of a waste to put this on like during the winter or indoors since no one can see the shimmer.

  • I got this EOS Holiday pack with Blueberry Acai Lip Balm and Berry Blossom Hand Lotion.  Both of these products are simply amazing!

  • Yay for Christmas Ornaments!  These Christmas ornaments are from Big Lots, and they were on sale, so I got them for a good price.  I think these ornaments are just so pretty, and perfect to put on my Christmas Tree.

So yeah, that was what I got during the holidays.  Thanks for reading! :)

Winter Essentials

I know it's actually been a while since winter started, but that's okay.  Well actually, technical speaking, winter started yesterday, so in a way, it's kind of perfect timing.  Anyways, this post is about what I think are essentials for the winter time.  Let's get started!

1. Moisturizers - Winter tends to be dry, so it's super important to moisturize.

  • Aveeno Body Lotion: I use this for my body, and it never fails me.  This product is not just something I use for winter, but I also use it for other seasons too.  And this lotion can definitely make your skin soft even though the winter is dry.

  • Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream: I use this for my hands because my hands are the driest.  So if you have dry hands or naturally dry skin, I recommend you to use this.

  • Any Bath & Body Works Body Butter: For those of you who likes to use products that have a scent to them, I recommend any kind of Bath and Body Works body butter.  They feel so good on your skin, and all scents are simply amazing.  The one I have is Carried Away.

  • Any Bath & Body Works Hand Cream: I also use this on my hands if my hands are dry and if I want them to smell good.  If I'm outside and my hands feel dry, I just put this on, and boom problem solved.  This hand cream is also small, so it's easy to carry around.  It's not oily either, so once you put it on, you don't have to worry about getting everything you touched getting oily.  All Bath & Body Works Hand Cream smells soooo good.  I also have the Pink Chiffon scent of the hand cream.

2. Sweaters - Winter is cold, so I suggest you guys to have a sweater or two in your closet to keep you warm.
this was already shown in
the previous post, but i'll
show it again
  • Bethany Mota Gray cropped sweater: Just because summer is over, doesn't mean you have to stop wearing cropped clothing.  I love this sweater because it feels so comfortable, cozy, and warm.  Plus it's cropped!  I recommend you guys to get a cropped sweater, it doesn't have to be this one.

same with this one (read caption for
previous sweater)
  • Fair Isle Stripe sweater: Yay for pretty colors on sweater!  Since winter colors are a bit, well let's just say it's not as colorful, I recommend getting a sweater that has bright colors.

3. Lip Balm - Don't forget to moisturize your lips as well!

  • Baby Lips Dr. Rescue Coral Crave: ah, the cooling sensation once it is applied to your lips.  I love this lip balm so much.  The packing is so cute, and it makes your lip have a pinkish-orangish tint.  I will be doing a review on this later on, on my blog.  So be sure to stay tuned for that.

  • EOS Blueberry Acai Lip Balm: I got this when I bought the Blueberry Acai & Berry Blossom Multipack.  Perfect for the winter time, definitely heals your dry lips.

4. Warm Robe - I feel so cozy and warm when I wear this robe.
sorry about this crappy pic

5. Fuzzy Socks - My house has laminate floor, and since the floor is cold, wearing this makes my feet warm.

6. Beanie - Beanies add a special touch to your outfit.  Plus, they make your head snug!

7. Infinity Scarf - This keeps your neck warm, and adds a touch of color to your outfit.  (The scarf shown below is just an example, doesn't have to be this color and design.  I'm just talking about infinity scarf in general).

8. Hot Chocolate - Hot chocolate is perfect for the winter time.  During winter, just sip this and your whole body feels so much warmer.  And it tastes soooo good too!
this is my favorite hot chocolate of all times

Okay, so that's all my winter essentials.  I hope you enjoy reading this post, and have an amazing holiday! :)

Bethany Mota Winter Collection 2013 / Aeropostale Haul

Recently, I went to Aeropostale to buy clothes from the Bethany Mota collection.  If you don't know who Bethany Mota is, she is a beauty guru on Youtube, and her channel is called Macbarbie07.  When this collection came out on December 8th, I went to the Aeropostale website to see how the clothes from the Bethany Mota collection looked like.  I saw that I liked many of her clothing items, so I decided to go to Aeropostale and buy the clothes I liked and had my size.  And of course, I have to show it for you guys!  Below are the items I got from the Bethany Mota collection and clothes that are not from the Bethany collection, but are from Aeropostale as well.

First, I'm going to show you the clothes from the Bethany Mota Collection.

    1. Heart Sunglasses Graphic Tee - I liked the color and the design.

     2. Owl Sweater - The owl is just so cute, and the sweater is soooo soft.

    3. Gray Long Sleeve Cropped Sweater - I don't have any cropped sweater, so I decided to buy this.

    4. Long Sleeve Baseball Graphic Tee - I don't have any shirts that are like this, so I bought it.  On the back, it says Motavator which I'm assuming is what Bethany Mota fans are called.

    5. Motavator Tee - This was actually free.  The promotion was if you buy anything from the Bethany Mota collection, you get this shirt for free.  And it's one size fits all, so its really loose on me.

Now, I'm going to show you the clothes that are not from the Bethany Mota collection.

    6. Love NYC Graphic Tee - The design is so pretty.

    7. Infinity Sign Graphic Tee - I thought this shirt design was different from other Aeropostale tee, so I just bought it.

    8. Fair Isle Stripe Sweater - The colors are so pretty together.

    9. High Waisted Denim Jeans - I don't have any high waisted denim jeans, and I wanted one that will match with my cropped gray sweater from the Bethany Mota collection.

    10. High Waisted Black Jeans - The fact that this had so many buttons made it looks so unique.

(Ignore the white line; it's not
part of the phone case design)

    11. iphone Case - This was for free.  The promotion was if you buy $50 or more, you get this phone case.  And I did buy at least 50 bucks, so I got this phone case.  I just want to add that this phone case is holographic.

So yeah, that's what I got from the Bethany Mota collection, and what I didn't get from the collection but from Aeropostale as well.  For all of the clothing items I got, there was only 1 or 2 of my size left, especially the clothes from the Bethany Mota collecton.  So I feel very lucky that Aeropostale had my size.  I realized that the Bethany Mota collection sold really well, I mean I went to the Aeropostale store on December 9th, and there was only 1 of my size left for the clothing items I wanted.  Overall, I am very happy with what I got.  Anyways, thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy seeing what I got from Aeropostale! :)

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Movie Review

Today, I watched the Catching Fire movie, which is a sequel of the first movie- The Hunger Games.  I read the book before, and I have to say I liked the movie so much better.  This movie is sooooo good; it kept me interested at all times.  I didn't have a problem with anything in the movie.  I thought it was pretty close to the book, like there wasn't much difference.  In comparison to the first movie, I will say Catching Fire was better since there is more action, is more intense, has tougher competitors and better arena, and shows more on how crazy the Capitol is.  Catching Fire is definitely one of my favorite movies of all times.  Now, I am super excited for the next movie, Mockingjay Part 1.  Anyways, on a scale of 1 to 10, I will give this movie a 10/10 because I loved it that much.  So if you are pondering whether or not to watch the Catching Fire, don't ponder anymore.  Grab your coat, and head to your nearest movie theater.
